Semi-Jewish wedding in Salvador: choose an outfit and shoes that let you dance to both Jewish music and axé. We'll be handing out flip-flops to help with that mission.

We want everyone looking amazing, but ready to PARTY.

White and suspenders are reserved for the bride and groom — a white shirt is totally fine, but here's your chance to mix things up ;)

We chose a venue with a stunning view and an open-air ceremony. Sunglasses are recommended.

Important note: Salvador in summer! Light clothing advised — no tie or blazer needed. HOWEVER, rumor has it the venue has a GREAT air conditioning and we'll be right in front of Baía de Todos os Santos, sooooo.... there's that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you really need a traditional guideline: smart casual is perfect!

pre-wedding

The pre-wedding will be a private bar just for us, watching the sunset and having fun.

Nothing too fancy — come ready to live it up and bring your own style to the party.

where to stay

In Salvador, we suggest staying in Rio Vermelho or Barra.

Barra is more touristy — for better and worse. Higher prices, Porto da Barra beach (the best swimming in the city, though the most crowded), and plenty of restaurants, bars and nightlife.

Rio Vermelho is Salvador's most bohemian neighborhood — and the one we call home. Stays tend to be a little more affordable than Barra, with many options of bars and restaurants, less touristy beaches, but with all the structure you need.

There are also great Airbnb options all over the city, usually at better prices than hotels. That said, we're recommending two hotels close to our place — so you can get a taste of what everyday life feels like for us.

Both the wedding and the pre-wedding are in the city centre. No worries: wherever you stay in Salvador, you're just an Uber away from both. Zero hassle.
